紙張防潮，紙張對空氣的濕度非常敏感，紙張中的水份含量總是隨著空氣中濕度的變化而變化的。儲(chǔ)存紙張的庫房應(yīng)當(dāng)清潔，干燥，或者直接放在膠印車間里，紙堆要離開地面一段距離，要離開墻壁。儲(chǔ)放處的室內(nèi)相對濕度保持在60%-70%，而其室溫應(yīng)以18-22℃為適宜。

印刷用紙的厚度，緊度、平滑度、塵埃度，含水量，酸堿度及對平版膠印的影響，這些紙張的特性直接影響到印刷品的質(zhì)量，對上機(jī)印刷速度等都有影響。紙張的厚度均勻一致的話，上機(jī)印刷的質(zhì)量也就會(huì)更好。

平滑度，紙張的平滑度是需要紙張表面平整，光滑的程度，光滑了上機(jī)的速度也就可以暢通，提高印刷速度，印刷品也相對清晰。

紙張是印刷的關(guān)鍵，印刷廠對于車間的溫度濕度都要控制，如需緊缺紙張可以囤貨，常用紙張不變的化，盡量庫存少，隨調(diào)隨用也可以減少資金壓力。
